Profibus module
– Profibus (Process Field Bus) DP (decentralized periphery) is an all digital,two-way communication system that links devices (also known as slaves) and automationsystems. A decentralized periphery uses a network bus (in this instance, Profibus) between theController (Ovation) and its connected I/O channels. Therefore, the I/O is decentralized ascompared to a programmable logic Controller (PLC) that has its I/O arranged centrally.
